Welcome to the 5 Ways Journal Workshop. In this course, I will share 20 different techniques on how to use my artist designed products, such as tissue paper, washi-tape, rub-on transfers, and die-cuts in innovative, fun, and creative ways. In this course, you will explore textures using Powertex Products and mediums. We will create a 10 page artist book jammed full of SURPRISE AND DELIGHT! Each page will feature a new technique that can be used to build an art toolbox to create all kinds of TEXTURAL MAYHEM. We will use fabrics and fibers with Powertex Universal Medium, (a textile hardener), pigments, sprays, 3D Sand, Stone Art, etc. to create texture like you've never seen. You will finish the course with a touchable, textural artist book that will be the envy of your friends. As a special gift, I will also share a quick tutorial on how to cast your own molds, using Powertex Sand Art and plaster. I promise you WILL be addicted to creating, what I call - 'Booksemblage' - dimensional book making at it's finest! Welcome to SNAP-IT! - a Journal Workshop. A 12 month format, that allows you to document your year, in small, bite sized bits. I am using the 2025 Artist Almanac as the basis for the substrate, but any collage material will do. Pull out your 2025 Almanac (or even your unused past year copies) AND/OR your abundant stash of collage material for an easy, functional, and unique journal. In this course, I will share how to construct the monthly formatted journal with a (self described) Exposed Case Binding with one of the coolest closures you will ever see! I incorporate snap ribbon to create an adjustable, decorative, and simply kick ass closure. You will want to make this journal every year as a way to record memories, thoughts, and feelings over time.
